Two new headphones from Sony bring together richly detailed audio with a fresh new look and feel. Ideal for powering up the sound of your MP3 player, the MDR‑V55 and MDR-ZX600 are must-haves for music lovers who put an equal premium on great looks and music.

Both models feature a compact design with swivelling earcups that fold flat, making them easy to fit in your bag and comfortable to wear around the neck.

The MDR‑V55 and MDR-ZX600 are available in a choice of four eye-catching colours (black, white, red, blue). Circular earpad colour accents are matched by the flat, tangle-resistant cable.

Apart from great looks, both headphones deliver uncompromising audio quality with your favourite music, from hip-hop to jazz and rock. Large 40mm driver units with Neodymium magnets assure rich, commanding sound with extended bass and sparkling, detail-packed highs. Excellent sensitivity is complemented by rugged 1000mW power handling, making both headphones ideal all-rounders for daily listening with any source.

Taking their influence from Sony’s heritage in premium quality DJ headphones, the V55’s introduce a new style in a number of different colours. The closed design features comfortable earpads that fit over the ear for excellent sound isolation and they have been engineered to eliminate noise distortion even when played at high volume levels. Reversible earcups give extra flexibility and a single-sided flat cord frees up your movement whether out and about or on the decks. At the end of the night, the V55’s have a compact folding design for easy carrying and storage.

Refreshingly light and comfortable to wear, the MDR-ZX600’s also pack a punch for those who like extra bass when listening to their music. Classic looks are given a fresh twist with brushed metal accents and flashes of colour that coordinate with the flat, tangle-resistant cable.

The new MDR-V55 and MDR-ZX600 headphones are available in the UK from April 2012.
